Facilities Management Department

The primary responsibility of the Facilities Management Department is to provide clean, safe school buildings in which students can learn. Our physical plant consists of 58 buildings encompassing 3.6 million square feet of space located on 400 acres of land throughout the City of Worcester.

Facility Use Permits Process

Facilities Management is pleased to announce that applications to use school facilities will now be routed electronically through the OperationsHERO web-based system beginning June 1, 2024.

To begin, print out the EventHQ step-by-step guide and review it. You can also watch our EventHQ step by step-by-step video. Then log in to the OperationsHERO website and submit your application according to the EventHQ Quick Step Guide instructions.

Work Order

The Worcester Public Schools utilizes an internet-based work management tool from OperationsHERO.

At each school site, designated staff have access to this program and are able to submit work requests for their building(s), as well as check the status of their requests, online.
