Students who earned the Seal of Biliteracy outside Doherty Memorial High School
In this video, students from Claremont Academy who earned the Seal of Biliteracy during the 2022-23 school year speak about the importance of multilingualism.
The Massachusetts Seal of Biliteracy recognizes high school graduates who attain high-functional and academic levels of proficiency in English and at least one other language by high school graduation.
Our vision is to help students recognize the value of their academic success and see the tangible benefits of being bilingual.
The Seal of Biliteracy appears on the transcript or diploma of the graduating senior. This recognition may be presented to colleges and future employers.
Multilingual students are eligible to attain the Seal of Biliteracy upon high school graduation if they meet requirements. (See below.)
