Non-WPS Summer Programs
There is a large number of community organizations and agencies that provide youth summer programming in the City of Worcester. To find an organization, visit our Family and Community Engagement page.
Recreation Worcester provides free year-round athletics, arts, and academic programming. The program runs from June 30 to August 8.
Worcester Family Partnership, in collaboration with the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC), hosts Summer 2025 Playgroups.
YouthConnect is a free, seven-week citywide summer program for youth ages 11–16, offered at multiple sites including the Boys & Girls Club, Friendly House, Girls Inc., Worcester Youth Center, YMCA, and YWCA. The program runs June 30 to August 15, 2025, Monday through Friday. Transportation and dinner are included.
Girls Inc. of Worcester offers two unique summer experiences for girls:
Camp Kinneywood (ages 6–12) invites campers to explore nature through outdoor activities like kayaking, swimming, and hiking. The camp is located near Tatnuck Square on the Worcester/Holden line, with shuttle service available from 125 Providence Street.
Camp InnovateHer (ages 5–12) is a STEAM-focused camp that blends science, technology, arts, and leadership in an all-girls environment. Activities include hands-on projects, SEL time, swimming, and team sports. Held at 125 Providence Street.
