Chandler Elementary Community School and district leadership accept a $10,000 grant from the New England Patriots Foundation.

WORCESTER – Wednesday, May 22, 2024 – New England Patriots alumni Andre Tippett and Patrick Pass joined district leaders and city officials on Wednesday as the New England Patriots Foundation awarded Chandler Elementary Community School with a $10,000 NFL Play 60 grant to continue its play space renovations.

Chandler Elementary Community School, which was chosen as a Patriots Foundation Adopt-a-School partner in September, has seen recent improvements to its play space thanks to a generous local donation from Anthony Rossi. The Patriots Foundation added to that donation with its own contribution on Wednesday.

The recent improvements, started with Rossi’s donation, include new pavement, painted lines and the addition of basketball hoops. The Patriots Foundation will enhance Rossi’s donation by awarding Chandler Elementary Community School with additional funds from a $10,000 NFL Play 60 grant, which can be used to support purchasing additional equipment for their play space.

Robert Kraft established the New England Patriots Foundation in 1994 as a way to give back to the communities the Patriots call home. The mission of the foundation is to aid individuals and families that are often marginalized in today’s society. Through the implementation of year-round programming and support of philanthropic agencies, the foundation is building stronger communities throughout New England.
