The Worcester Regional Research Bureau is now accepting nominations for the Thomas S. Green Public Service Awards. Nominations are open until Friday, March 22, 2024. 

Since 1988, The Research Bureau has celebrated the unsung heroes of public service. The Thomas S. Green Public Service Awards highlight those municipal & school employees that provide outstanding and exemplary contributions to government and the community. This prestigious award is open to all employees in city/town government, public school district, and regional agencies in Worcester County, except department or division heads. 

Nominees for the Thomas S. Green Public Service Awards must illustrate:

  • Exceptional competence and efficient handling of all assigned responsibilities

  • Enthusiastic performance of tasks above and beyond the call of duty

  • Cooperative, helpful and friendly attitude toward the public and fellow employees

  • Community involvement outside the scope of job-related responsibilities
