WORCESTER – Thursday, August 29, 2024 – The Worcester Public Schools’ Night Life Continuing Education Division is once again opening its doors to adult learners this fall, offering a variety of evening courses designed to provide both career technical training and lifelong learning opportunities.
Beginning this September, Night Life will host a series of courses at Worcester Technical High School, located at 1 Officer Manny Familia Way. Classes will run in the evenings from Tuesday, September 5, through Thursday, December 21, 2024.
Superintendent Dr. Rachel Monárrez emphasized the value of continuous learning for adults, stating, “Learning is a lifelong journey, and our Night Life program offers valuable opportunities for adults to gain new skills, whether they are looking to advance in their careers or pursue personal interests. Our instructors and the facilities at Worcester Technical High School create an ideal environment for adult education.”
This fall, the program’s career technical training offerings include courses in: Electrical Wiring, Diesel Technology, Plumbing, Welding, Medical Assisting, and more. These programs are tailored to equip adult students over the age 18 with the skills and certifications needed to launch or advance careers in high-demand trades. Scholarships are available for several courses, including Diesel Technology and Clinical Medical Assistant. Additionally, informational sessions will be held for those interested in the Clinical Medical Assistant courses.
Night Life also offers a robust selection of lifelong learning courses that allow adults to explore new hobbies or improve their skills in areas such as Arts and Crafts, Home Improvement-Level Carpentry, Cooking, Fitness, Musical Instruments, and World Languages.
