Dear Worcester Public Schools Families,
This message is a reminder that state law requires students enrolled in the Worcester Public Schools (WPS) to have proof of vaccination as defined by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
The compliance date for vaccines is January 24, 2025, for all students in grades preschool (pre-K) through 12+. You will receive direct notification from your child’s school nurse if they are missing any immunizations. To prevent any exclusionary measures now or in the future, please ensure your child is compliant by this date.
If your child does not have a medical provider, please review the vaccination page of the WPS website for resources, which include:
Vaccination appointments at the Worcester Public Schools’ Parent Information Center by appointment. You may call your school nurse to schedule.
Community-based health centers at schools or off-site.
Local free clinics as listed on the Worcester Free Care Collaborative website.
We appreciate your assistance in keeping our school community safe. Please contact your school nurse if you have any questions regarding your child’s immunization record.
Sincerely,
Nursing Department
