Dear Worcester Public Schools Families,
We hope you are all excited to start the 2023-24 school year! The first day of school is Monday, August 28 for grades 1-12 and Thursday, August 31, for pre-kindergarten (pre-K) and kindergarten. We are writing to provide you with updates on back-to-school resources, accessing the WooEdu portal, bus routes, and information for families of the former La Familia School who are merging with Chandler Magnet Elementary.

The Worcester Public Schools has created a page on its website with back-to-school information and resources for families. Please visit worcesterpublicschools.org/backtoschool.
WooEdu Family Portal
All parents and guardians are assigned an identification (GUID) code to log into the WooEdu Family Information Portal. You should have received an email with your WooEdu GUID code . If you did not receive one or you lost it, please contact the main office at your student’s school. Emails to request GUID codes should include the sender’s first and last name, student name, and school name where the student is enrolled.
School Bus Routes
All school bus route information should be obtained through WooEdu.
School bus route information was released in the WooEdu portal on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. Please note that bus route information may change prior to the first day of school.
We ask all families to check their bus route information in WooEdu portal the night before the first day of school.
If you have any questions about school bus routes, please call the WPS Transportation Department at 508-799-3241 or contact your child’s school.
Versatrans My School Bus Smartphone App
We strongly encourage all students, parents and guardians to download the Versatrans My Stop smartphone app on your Android or Apple device to receive real-time access to school bus information. The app displays the location of a student’s assigned school bus, as well as the estimated time of arrival to their stop. Students can plan for late or on-time arrivals, and prevent missed pick-ups or being left outside in inclement weather. If you have any questions about your child’s bus route, you can call the Transportation Department at 508-799-3241.
Note for former La Familia School Families
Due to an isolated issue, not all families of the La Familia School have received email information from the Chandler Magnet School or WPS in recent days. The Information Technology Department is working to remediate the situation as soon as possible.
Because of this issue, not all La Familia families received their students’ bus routes electronically. The WPS Transportation Department is contacting La Familia families individually to provide them bus route information. When the issue is fixed, the bus route information will also be available in WooEdu. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
