This is a FREE two-week summer program promoting STEM learning in a fun and collaborative environment. Participating students will receive literacy and math support, engage in hands-on STEM projects, and visit the Worcester Polytechnic Institute campus to tour labs and meet researchers.
Location: Mass Academy of Math and Science at WPI, 85 Prescott Street, Worcester, MA 01605
Dates: July 8 – 19, 2024, Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
Before and after care will be provided for free starting at 7:30 am and ending promptly at 5:00 pm.
Breakfast, lunch, and a snack will be provided at no cost
Transportation is NOT provided.
Eligible students will meet the following criteria:
- Is a rising 7th grader;
- Has a demonstrated need, which may or may not be financial. We are intentionally keeping this definition broad, since we are looking for students who would not otherwise have access to a meaningful STEM learning opportunity;
- Will commit to attending the program for the full two weeks;
- Demonstrates an interest or curiosity in some aspect of STEM (science, technology, engineering, math);
- Is willing and able to adhere to the behavioral expectations of the program (“school rules”); and
- Is referred to us by a school or community organization based on these criteria.
