Instructional Focus
Belmont Street Community School will improve reading comprehension through the use of Reciprocal Teaching Strategies, including writing about reading tools, during read-aloud, shared, and guided reading at all grade levels. Through the implementation of these reading and writing strategies and tools, students will show measurable growth in their ability to read and comprehend at or above grade level. This will be measured through MAP, MCAS, Benchmark Assessment, ACCESS, and formative assessments.
