This survey is connected to a comprehensive review of safety in all district schools and buildings that is being conducted by Guidepost Solutions on behalf of WPS.
For the past month, Guidepost Solutions analysts have reviewed district safety plans, training programs, policies, and practices. They have also been reviewing building floor plans and conducting targeted interviews with district office leadership, along with officials from the Worcester Police, Fire, and Emergency Management departments.
The district will use the final report from Guidepost Solutions to develop a multi-year plan to address deficiencies in school safety systems and hardware, adopt new practices around site-based training and make overall improvements to staff and student safety within buildings, school buses, and athletic facilities.
The safety of our staff, students, and visitors is the district’s highest priority to create an environment where high-quality teaching and learning can occur on a daily basis.
